Despite this undisputed evidence the Board still concluded that Polaris failed to prove a nexus, finding Polaris’…

  • CAFC says PTAB Entitled to Weigh the Credibility of Experts, Ignore Attorney Argument

Elbit’s expert argued that the asserted claims were obvious because the two-step and three-step methods are “mathematically equivalent” in that the three-step method simply reorders steps employed in the prior art without producing a new or unexpected result. The Federal Circuit disagreed, finding that Thales’s expert sufficiently explained the differences between the two-step and three-step methods. The panel also agreed with the Board that Elbit’s expert’s testimony was “unsupported” and not…

    (NUMBER OF STHS)
$$ Likewise, since the number of tests to be performed remains more or less stable over time, there is no increase over time in the latency for starting programs. (USP8185954)

$$ A count of the number of pixel comparisons Ix (stored in a comparison counter) is set to zero (step 203). (USP8040428)

$$ The final proportion will depend on the number of processing operations performed per pixel.(USP6137496)

$$ If, however, no response is received by calling the FIU 12 after a predetermined number of repeated transmissions 66, 68 or after a predetermined time has elapsed (step 160), the calling FIU 12 may end the above procedure and allow the calling terminal to time out and end the call. (USP5877871)

$$ An analogue filter for doing this task can be problematic and implementing the desired filtering characteristic using a digital filter is relatively costly and has limits on its operational speed due to the number of multiplications involved. (USP5428643)

    (NUMBER OF TIMES S+V)
$$ The position along the direction, for example 123 for yellow shows the number of times the joy stick must be moved in that direction to produce the sound. (USP8374876)

$$ This is advantageous as further valves can be added and the microprocessor need only alter the number of times the first two steps are performed. (USP7653442)
